In this lesson, we’ll learn how to access the Chrome address bar.
The address bar is also called the “omnibox” because you can use it for things like typing in a URL, searching, getting unit conversions, or even translating foreign words. When paired with other Chrome extensions, there’s even more you can do.
To explore the omnibox, press Control+L. From here, you can type a URL or search term and press Enter. If you want to exit the omnibox and stay on the current page, press Escape and then Tab.
Now that we’ve learned how to open other pages, we need to learn how to move between open pages. In the next lesson, we’ll learn about tabs.
